FIFA Grassroots Pro-active Course

FIFA Instructor, Mr Samuel Schweingruber is in Singapore to conduct the FIFA Grasroots Pro-active course. The course, which officially opened on Saturday, the 10th of March 2012, will conclude on Wednesday, the 14th of March, and is specially tailored for coaches who will be coaching Under-8’s and Under-12’s.

Currently, the Football Association of Singapore has increased the number of its Junior Centre of Excellence (JCOE) centres to ten, from three centre in 2010. A total of 40 coaches are designated to these centre, to tailor to the needs of the children.

First AFC Professional Football Coaching Diploma in Singapore

SINGAPORE, 29 November 2011: The Football Association of Singapore (FAS) together with Asian Football Confederation (AFC) launched the first AFC Professional Football Coaching Diploma to be held in Southeast Asia which is also known as the AFC Pro-Diploma, today at Amara Hotel.  

It is also the highest coaching accreditation issued by the Asian Football Confederation and is equivalent to the UEFA Pro License.

In their last session with the kids, the trainee coaches, who were undergoing their AFC ‘C’ Certificate course, ran the show. Course instructor, Coach Mohamed Zainudeen, took a back seat and watched his trainees strut their stuff.

A total of 18 kids with special needs made their way down to Jalan Besar Stadium in the afternoon of 29th October 2011, to have their session of training with the trainee coaches. These coaches were undergoing their module – introductory course for coaching disabled footballers.

Days of working together in an attempt to get their  AFC ‘C’ Certificate was made even more eventful with a new module being the introductory course for coaching disabled footballers.

The coaches who were under the watchful eye of course instructor, Mr Mohamed Zainudeen or more affectionately known as ‘Coach Zai’ to his course attendees and coach V.Sundramoorthy showed up on Saturday, 22 October at the Jalan Besar Stadium, knowing that they will be going through a coaching session which will help enrich some kids lives.

AFC Goalkeeping Coach Level 1 Course

There will be a AFC Goalkeeping Coach Level 1 course starting in the month of September/October 2011. Participants are required to have at least an AFC ‘C’ Certificate.

'The Dazzler' V. Sundramoorthy assumes new role as a specialist striker coach

 V Sundramoorthy takes on striking role

SINGAPORE, 16 February 2011: The Football Association of Singapore (FAS) has extended V Sundramoorthy’s contract by another year, during which the former international will play a key role in developing the next generation of quality strikers for Singapore football.

Among his key responsibilities, Sundram will conduct specialist technical training for strikers from the National Football Academy (NFA) and Centres of Excellence (COEs) as well as the Courts Young Lions’ squad.
