Signing of Memorandum of Understanding between Football Association of Singapore and Japan Professional Football League

SINGAPORE, 5th June 2013: The Football Association of Singapore (FAS) is pleased to have signed a Memorandum of Understanding with Japan Professional Football League in a ceremony that was held on 5 June, 2013 at 6pm at Jalan Besar Stadium. A delegation from J. League led by its chairman Mr Kazumi Ohigashi represented  J. League for the signing ceremony with Mr Zainudin Nordin representing FAS.

Singapore America Soccer Exchange Programme Kicked-off earlier today

SINGAPORE, 3rd DECEMBER 2012: The Singapore America Soccer Exchange Programme kicked-off earlier today with the opening ceremony held at Jalan Besar Stadium, the Football Association of Singapore’s headquarters. The event was graced by the United States Ambassador to Singapore, Mr David Adelman, FAS President, Mr Zainudin Nordin and representatives from the United States Embassy, NIKE Singapore as well as the FAS.

2012 AFF Suzuki Cup - “LIVE” Screening for Singapore vs Indonesia Match

SINGAPORE, 27th NOVEMBER 2012: In support for our Singapore national team, the Football Association of Singapore will be showing the 2012 AFF Suzuki Cup Group B match between Singapore and Indonesia “LIVE”, tomorrow at the Jalan Besar Stadium. The match will be screened on the newly launched LED Screen which was recently installed at the stadium.

Singapore 9s Masters 2012

Singapore, 18 November 2012: The two-day Singapore 9s Masters tournament ended today with Ser Seng Veterans lifting the cup after beating Poly Veterans 2-1 in a sudden death penalty shootout at Jalan Besar Stadium.

It was the first time Ser Seng have won the cup, after finishing as Plate Champions twice previously, while losing narrowly in the Cup final last year. The match ended 1-1, after the team equalized in the second half.

SINGAPORE, 19th SEPTEMBER 2012: The Sultan of Selangor’s Cup Local Organising Committee Chairman, Dato’ Abdul Karim Munisar, was in Singapore earlier today to present tickets to S.League fan groups’ representatives, who will be travelling up to witness the once-a-year footballing spectacle. A total of 200 lucky fans will be travelling up north, in a turn-around trip to witness this footballing extravaganza.

FAS to conduct FIFA Players' Agent Examination

SINGAPORE, 12th September 2012: The Football Association of Singapore (FAS) will be conducting the second FIFA Players’ Agent Examination for 2012, on Thursday, 27th September 2012, at 10.00 am, at the Association’s headquarters in Jalan Besar Stadium.

The examination is conducted twice a year by FIFA in March and September.

Special Olympics: South East Asia Unified Football Tournament

Football transcends barriers of nationality, race, creed, gender, age, social status and in the case of Special Olympics intellectual disability.  Athletic ability, skill and talent are the hallmarks of a thrilling 90 minutes on the pitch.

Special Olympics, which gives people with intellectual disabilities a platform to showcase their talents, kicks off a two-day South East Asia Unified Football Tournament on 1 September 2012. Seven male and three female teams aged between 12 to 23 years old, from Singapore, Malaysia, Indonesia and Thailand will compete.
