Singapore ended their inaugural AYA Bank Cup 2016 campaign as runners-up, going down 3-0 to Vietnam after extra time at the Thuwunna YTC Stadium on Monday night.

It could also be due to his quiet and unassuming nature.

Singapore National Team vs Myanmar

V. Sundram Moorthy’s reign as Singapore coach started off on a good note as the Lions sank Myanmar 1-0 in front of a partisan 31,000 crowd at the Thuwunna YTC Stadium on Friday night to reach the AYA Bank Cup final.

A first-half goal from Faris Ramli was enough to separate the two sides in a tightly-fought affair.
