SINGAPORE, 18 MAY 2017: The Football Association of Singapore today confirmed the RHB Singapore Cup 2017 Preliminary Round fixtures. In addition, two Great Eastern-Hyundai S.League matches involving Brunei DPMM FC – against Hougang United FC and Balestier Khalsa FC – have been shifted to 14 and 21 August 2017 respectively.

SINGAPORE, 17 MAY 2017: The Football Association of Singapore today announced that Coach V. Selvaraj has resigned as Head Coach of the Garena Young Lions (GYL) due to family reasons. National Youth Teams Head Coach Richard Tardy will lead the GYL until the Southeast Asian (SEA) Games in August.

SINGAPORE, 15 MAY 2017: The Asian Football Confederation (AFC) Grassroots Football Day will be celebrated in Singapore over two weekends with a wide range of activities. The festivities kicked off this past Saturday with five-a-side matches for children and their parents from the Serangoon and Hong Kah Cubs Centres as well as ActiveSG Serangoon at Serangoon Stadium, and will close with the FIFA “Live Your Goals” (LYG) Centre Festivals at Queensway Secondary and Bowen Secondary Schools on 20 and 21 May respectively. The LYG Centre Festivals are free and open for registration.

SINGAPORE, 9 MAY 2017: At today’s draw for the 2017 RHB Singapore Cup, the Football Association of Singapore (FAS) and RHB Singapore announced that RHB’s title sponsorship of the tournament will be extended for three years. This will take the partnership to 15 years in 2019.

SINGAPORE, 7 MAY 2017: The Singapore Selection yesterday equalled Selangor’s win record in the Sultan of Selangor’s Cup and lifted the Cup for the seventh time after defeating the Selangor Selection 3-2 in front of 25,619 fans. In the opening match of the day, Singapore Sports School beat Selangor Combined Schools 3-2 in a penalty shootout to take home the inaugural Singapore-Selangor Schools Challenge Cup, after the match ended 1-1 at full-time. The traditional curtain raiser match between the Singapore Veterans and Selangor Veterans ended in a 0-0 draw, with both teams being crowned joint winners.

SINGAPORE, 30 APRIL 2017: The Football Association of Singapore (FAS) today announced that the Vanuatu Under-20 National Team will be preparing for the FIFA Under-20 World Cup 2017 by playing three matches in Singapore against the Singapore Under-22 and Under-20 National Teams. The Vanuatu team’s Singapore training camp will be from today to 8 May 2017.

SINGAPORE, 29 APRIL 2017: The Football Association of Singapore (FAS) today held an election to determine the FAS Council for the term of 2017-2021. The nine candidates of Team LKT, led by Presidential candidate Mr Lim Kia Tong, were elected on the Slate Basis. Mr Foo Say Peng, Mr Lim Tong Hai, Mr Mohamad Yakob Hashim, Mr Muhamed Rizal Bin Rasudin, Ms Sharda Parvin Binte Ab Latiff and Mr Teo Ban Seng were also voted in by FAS Ordinary Members on the Individual Basis. The term of this 15-member FAS Council commences from 29 April 2017 for a period of four years.
