Course participant and current Tanjong Pagar United goalkeeper Fashah Iskandar shared that the course was an eye-opening experience: “Playing and coaching are truly two different things. I thought game experience was the only thing that I needed to focus on, but coaching brings in a whole new challenge. I’m eternally grateful for both Coach Developers, who were incredibly helpful and painstakingly guided me through my doubts.”
Former Lioness and Republic Polytechnic’s alumni for Diploma in Sport Coaching Hamizah Abdul Talib reflected similar sentiments, adding: “It was a wonderful opportunity for me to develop deeper into the technical aspects of the game during the FAS/AFC ‘C’ Diploma (SG-Coach Level 1 Full Integration) Coaching Course. I learnt about designing effective session plans that focus on technical skills, tactical understanding, and overall player development. During the practical sessions, along with the other course participants, I put what I learned in the classroom segment into practice and applied different coaching methodologies on the field. The Coach Developers provided valuable feedback and guidance, helping us refine our coaching techniques. All in all, I thoroughly enjoyed the course. It broadened my understanding of the coaching process and provided me valuable tools to enhance player development.”
Nurhuda Mohd Saad, who is a coach at Flair Football Academy, shared that the course helped her relook into her coaching methods: “After attending the FAS/AFC ‘C’ Diploma (SG-Coach Level 1 Full Integration) Coaching Course, I’ve learned that I could have coached better by showing more to make sure my players at my current coaching location understand what they are doing and not just to listen and do what they’re told to do.”

May they continue this journey of learning with humility and hard work!”
Technical Director Mr Michael Browne concluded: “FAS would like to thank Republic Polytechnic for their assistance and the provision of facilities for us to conduct this course. This is our 2nd edition of the FAS/AFC ‘C’ Diploma (SG-Coach Level 1 Full Integration) Coaching Course. As the course name implies, the football-related elements of the course are integrated with learning content from CoachSG, which will enhance the learning experience for course participants. FAS will continue to support the course participants as they strive to achieve the required competency necessary to successfully complete the FAS/AFC ‘C’ Diploma (SG-Coach Level 1 Full Integration) Coaching Course.”
