SINGAPORE, 19 JUNE 2020 – The Football Association of Singapore (FAS) has announced today, guidelines and measures for the safe return to footballing activities as sports and recreation facilities reopen for Phase 2 Safe Transition.
“The FAS Football Academy (FFA), formerly known as the National Football Academy, has been an integral component in the youth development system since its inauguration in 2000.
“While the private academies do not come under the purview of the Football Association of Singapore (FAS), we have established a good working relationship with some of these academies such as JSSL Arsenal and St Michael’s Soccer Academy.
“The intent of the kick-in rule is to encourage short passes, enable the team to maintain possession of the ball, and build up play, especially for children aged 9-13.
