Executive, Coach Education & Development

Job Summary

Reporting to the Head, Coach Education & Development (CED), the Executive, Coach Education and Development will work closely with Club Coaches and other key personnel. The staff will assist to provide administrative and operational support in the above key areas as part of football development initiatives and in line with the FAS National Football Development Plans and Philosophy.

Job Specifications

  • Assist in preparing annual budgets, inventories, documents, standard forms, procedures and other administrative support in the efficient management of activities, programmes, events and other initiatives in the key areas of Coach Education, Clubs and Schools.
  • Provide administrative, management and operational support to ensure proper documentation and record-keeping of all related activities, processes and procedures in the key areas for compliance and transparency.
  • Assist in managing all communications, internal and external, with key personnel like internal departments, clubs, schools, coaches, teachers, suppliers, sponsors, stakeholders and partners.
  • Assist in disseminating of information to all parties and stakeholders on FAS organized activities and events (coaching courses, Continuing Coach Education sessions, meetings, workshops, tournaments, matches, etc).
  • Assist in the procurement of equipments, apparels and other items to ensure the smooth delivery of FAS development and coach education programmes.
  • Manage the inventory in FAS and other related venues and storage areas.
  • Monitor attendance of personnel involved in the key operational areas.
  • Processing of allowances of our Coach Developers for Coaching Courses.
  • On-site visits to ensure operational efficiency on a weekly basis Centre Of Excellence.
  • Provide timely reports and updates to the Head on the key operational areas.
  • Any other duties as assigned by the Head, CED, Technical Director and/or General Secretary.

Assistant Technical Producer

Job Summary

Part of the FAS Content team, the Assistant Technical Producer, Content & Production is predominantly involved in the live production of the Singapore Premier League (SPL) matches, as well as produces content for various FAS and SPL platforms.

Job Description

  • Assist the Technical producer to manage, account and maintain broadcast facilities and equipment
  • Troubleshoot and attend to technical issues with regards to broadcast facilities and equipment
  • Oversee delivery of feeds to various platforms on matchdays
  • Set up control room and studio equipment on matchdays
  • Oversee control room and studio operations on matchdays
  • Liaise with equipment transport operators on sending and receiving of equipment to and from remote stadiums
  • Account for all equipment send and receive from remote stadiums
  • Step in as crew on matchdays when needed
  • Film/edit videos

Job Requirements

  • At least 5 years of relevant experience in broadcasting/live production
  • Demonstrate knowledge in how a production control room functions
  • Strong understanding of production framework
  • Up-to-date on new technological developments with regard to broadcast industry
  • Strong network of freelance camera operators, replay operators, studio crew etc
  • Knowledge in Adobe Premier Pro
  • Knowledge in basic filming
  • Willing to work weekends and public holidays
  • Able to setup broadcast equipment
  • Strong passion and / or understanding for sports is a critical advantage

 

Fitness Coach

Job Summary

Reporting to the Head, Football Science and Medicine (FSAM), the Fitness Coach will be responsible for the physical development of the assigned National Teams. The Fitness Coach will look after assigned teams with the primary aim of reducing the risk of injury and exploiting each player’s physical capacities. This involves establishing, developing and implementing fitness, strength and conditioning, injury prevention and recovery programs.

Job Description

  • Planning and implementation of all physical matters of the assigned team
  • Regular implementation and evaluation of players’ and teams’ physical conditions (fitness test). Individualisation of players’ fitness programs according to their performance data/status
  • Load and wellness monitoring via GPS and others, as well as post-data processing and evaluation
  • Timely communication and submission of relevant performance topics, reports, and programs within the multidisciplinary team (coaches, medical staff, team officials, Head, etc.)
  • Working with National Teams coaching staff to achieve objectives concerning individual players/team performance
  • Supervision of all games, camps, and all other engagements of the respective National Teams, including overseas trips
  • Periodically, delivering other duties such as education workshops on fitness-related matters
  • Any other duties and/or responsibilities as assigned by the Interim Head, FSAM, Technical Director, Assistant Technical Director and General Secretary

Job Requirements

  • FAS/AFC ‘B’ Diploma or higher
  • AFC Fitness Level 1 or higher
  • 1+ year of prior experience as a football fitness coach
  • Ability to effectively recognise team/athlete needs and take on a number of roles
  • Excellent written and interpersonal communication skills
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with a high degree of independence and initiative
  • Good team-building skills and the ability to adjust to changing priorities
  • Sport Science Degree (Bachelor, preferably Masters) (desired)

Physiotherapist

Job Summary

Reporting to the Interim Head, Football Science and Medicine (FSAM), the Physiotherapist will be responsible for optimising the physical health of FAS football players.

Job Description

1. Manage and treat football injuries of football Men’s and Women’s players by:

  • Assessing, examining and providing initial diagnosis of players’ injury
  • Refer injured players to appropriate medical professionals accordingly
  • Advising and planning appropriate treatment for players’ injuries
  • Providing acute physiotherapy treatment.
  • Monitoring the progress of players’ recovery.
  • Communicating and advising with relevant medical professional, team officials, coaches, injured footballer and other relevant person on the management, prognosis and progression of players’ injury

2. Provide On-Field coverage for selected Men’s and Women’s teams’ training and matches (including overseas assignments)

3. Assist with injury prevention management of selected teams through:

  • Injury surveillance and documentation
  • Recommending and providing updated scientific information of specific football injuries and injury prevention strategies
  • Educating football players and coaches on injury prevention and management strategies
  • Working and liaising closely with other sports scientists appointed by FAS on areas of sports sciences (nutrition, exercise physiology etc.) for the support of teams’ physical training requirements, recovery needs and injury prevention strategies

4. Any other duties and/or responsibilities as assigned by the Head, FSAM, Technical Director and General Secretary.

Job Requirements

  • Candidate must possess at least Bachelor’s Degree/Post Graduate Diploma/Professional Degree in Physical Therapy/Physiotherapy or equivalent
  • At least 2 Year(s) of working experience in the related field is required for this position
  • Bearing a valid Allied Health Professions Council (AHPC) License

Assistant Manager, Corporate Communications

Job Summary

Reporting to the Director (Corporate Communications), the Assistant Manager / Manager (Corporate Communications) will assist in managing the full spectrum of FAS/SPL communications, both internal and external, including but not limited to media relations, stakeholder outreach, as well as content development for FAS-driven and partner events.

Job Description

  • Develop and execute vibrant PR plans to communicate key messages, and generate publicity for FAS, SPL, and our partners (where necessary).
  • Coordinate the development of FAS Annual Reports.
  • Prepare communications-related materials for all meetings.
  • Manage incoming media queries, draft responses, and undertake necessary follow-up actions.
  • Develop content for FAS’s and SPL’s social media channels and draft timely relevant updates about relevant local football development and FAS events.
  • Engage the local media and develop communications materials including (but not limited to) press releases, press/holding statements, talking points, and media factsheets.
  • Develop content for communications and marketing purposes including social media, editorial stories, brochure copy, company’s website, speeches, videos, and other suitable forms of content.
  • Assist the management in supervising the Corporate Communications team in achieving departmental KPIs.
  • Monitor, manage and provide critical analysis of daily media reports. Prepare weekly reports.
  • Provide guidance and mentorship for junior members of the Corporate Communications team and supervise the work produced by them to ensure a high level of standard is met.
  • Provide administrative support and any other assigned tasks to ensure the smooth running of the department operations.
  • Undertake any other duties as assigned Director (Corporate Communications) and/or the General Secretary.

Job Requirements

  • Able to display extremely strong background knowledge and understanding of all matters related to Singapore football in particular, the National ‘A’ team and the Singapore Premier League.
  • Strong written skills in English across a variety of collaterals, alongside excellent communication skills – with meticulous attention to detail.
  • At least five years of public relations or corporate communications experience. Previous examples of supervisory experience will place candidates in a strong position for consideration.
  • Able to demonstrate creative thinking when developing editorial content.
  • An enthusiastic team player who is able to work independently when required.
  • Experience in basic web design and basic accounting will be advantageous.
  • A university degree/diploma in communications, public relations, marketing communications or equivalent.

Head, Football Sports Science & Medicine

Job Summary

Reporting to the Technical Director, the Head, Football Sports Science & Medicine, will be responsible for providing strategic planning towards leading, delivering and enhancing high-quality medical & sports science services and management of all FAS National Teams, including the National ‘A’ Team, Women’s, U-23 (Young Lions) and National Age-Group Teams.

Job Description

  • As part of the Senior Management Team to provide leadership to the FAS, the Head, Football Sports Science & Medicine, will provide leadership and guidance to the Football Sports Science & Medicine Department and manage the administration and daily operations.
  • Provide strategic leadership to the Football Sports Science & Medicine to lead, plan and direct the administrative and logistical requirements of all football sports medicine, sports science and fitness conditioning matters for the whole FAS organization, including ensuring high standards of football sports science practices and sports medicine practices.
  • Ensure proper budgeting and allocation of funds are done annually to support the various teams and the smooth operations of Football Sports Science & Medicine.
  • Provide leadership and administrative guidance for the Football Sports Science & Medicine Department with the guidance of the Technical Director.
  • In consultation with the FAS Fitness Coach, the Head, Football Sports Science & Medicine, will support and provide advice on the various Fitness programs and its application which will be presented to the Technical Director, in close collaboration with the various National Team coaches and based on the agreed schedule.
  • Develop and improve the capability of the Football Sports Science & Medicine by introducing a high-performance centre model based on FIFA and AFC standards.
  • Work closely with the respective National Teams coaches, Technical Department & Medical Committee to provide strategic directions for the Sports Science and Medicine High-Performance Centre.
  • Work closely with our industry partners, such as Sports Sg, and National Youth Sports Institute and collaborations with higher tertiary institutions, such as the Institute of Technical Education, Polytechnics and Universities.
  • Develop collaborations through research or exchange with overseas institutions and high-performance centres
  • Develop continuous learning and sustainability in the area of sports science and medicine through internships, training and exchange of knowledge through local or international sports and medical conferences.
  • Maintain professional development and provide career enhancement with continuous professional learning for staff in Football Sports Science & Medicine.
  • Provide a vibrant working environment for staff within the FAS and Football Sports Science & Medicine by having an interactive platform for information exchange with the National Team coaches concerning prevention, treatment and recovery- related to injuries, performance monitoring and other sports science-related information.

Job Requirements

  • Minimum BSc/BA in Sports Science (or related discipline)
  • preferred MSc/MRes/MPhil in Sports Science (or related discipline)
  • At least 5 years of relevant experience in working with football players and coaches at an elite level, preferably with experience in Football Science & Medicine.
  • Preference will be given to candidates with postgraduate qualifications from a recognized institution and a proven track record of publishing and presenting research articles.
  • Significant experience in a high-performance environment specializing in athlete performance monitoring data collection and reporting.
  • Candidates who are well-linked within the sports science and medicine industry, locally or internationally, are preferred.
  • Member of accredited sports science and medicine organizations such as ACSM, BASES or ECESS is preferred.
  • Strong management, organizational, motivational, and strategising skills.
  • Excellent presentation, interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Able to multitask and provide timely solutions to the organization.
  • Able to adapt to the demands of the job and the needs of the players and staff.
