DPR Korea top Group I in AFC Under-16 Championship 2020 Qualifiers

SINGAPORE, 21 SEPTEMBER 2019 – DPR Korea emerged as convincing winners of Group I of the Asian Football Confederation (AFC) Under-16 Championship 2020 Qualifiers, which concluded on Saturday evening at Jalan Besar Stadium.

The tournament had got underway on Tuesday evening, as Singapore played host to the Koreans, Hong Kong and Guam.
Philippe Aw’s U-15 boys were defeated by Hong Kong and DPR Korea, but managed to end on a winning note by beating Guam 10-1.

The 11 group winners from the qualifying stage will move on to the final tournament next year, along with the four best runners-up and hosts Bahrain
