Announcement Of Under-21 Squad For Vietnam Newspaper Cup
SINGAPORE, 17 OCTOBER 2014: The Football Association of Singapore (FAS) is pleased to announce that the squad list for the Under-21 National Team that will play in the Vietnam Newspaper Cup 2014 has been finalised.
There are 20 players in the squad, which will be captained by Courts Young Lions defender Delwinder Singh.
“We are going into this tournament with the intention of doing our very best. This squad will certainly be looking to make a good account of themselves, and we hope to reach the knockout stages,” said Head Coach Richard Bok.
The team will be departing for the tournament, to be held in Can Tho, Vietnam, today. Singapore is in Group A, together with the Thailand Under-21 squad and the Vietnam Youth Newspaper Under-21 team. Group B consists of Hoang Anh Gia Lai FC Under-19, Malaysia Under-21, and Sydney Under-21.
