Announcement Of Under-22 Squad For AFC Under-23 Championship 2016 Qualifiers
SINGAPORE, 25 MARCH 2015: The Football Association of Singapore (FAS) would like to announce that the Under-22 National Team squad that will be competing in the Asian Football Confederation (AFC) Under-23 Championship 2016 Qualifiers has been confirmed.
There will be a total of 23 players in the squad, which has an average age of 19.61. It includes players like Adam Swandi, Amirul Adli and M. Anumanthan, who have been capped by the senior National Team. The youngest member of the squad is forward Irfan Fandi, who can also play in defence.
Singapore is in Group J of the Qualifiers together with China, Mongolia and hosts Laos, and will play matches on 27, 29 and 31 March 2015. All Group J fixtures will be played in Vientiane, Laos. All three matches involving Singapore will be broadcast ‘live’ on StarHub’s free sports channel SuperSports Arena which is available to all households with a cable point on 76.25MHz. StarHub TV customers can also access the channel on StarHub TV Channels 112 and 205. Details of the fixtures can be found below.
