The students were given an overview of the Football Association of Singapore’s (FAS) headquarters, which included a sneak peek into the teams’ changing rooms and a behind-the-scenes look into the FAS’ production studio where they had great fun trying out the visual effects in the green screen room.

They were also given an introductory lesson with some hands-on learning by our sports scientists on the importance of football science and medicine, and how it plays a vital role in aiding the recovery process of football players. The visit concluded with an engaging session helmed by former Lion Baihakki Khaizan, who shared his experiences playing for the National Team and answered a myriad of questions from the students.

As part of the FAS’ mission to develop a vibrant football culture to strengthen social harmony and evoke the Singapore spirit, the FAS welcomes such opportunities to interact with schools and the local community through such programmes. We look forward to hosting more schools in the future with engaging interactive sessions which would inculcate an interest in football among our youth.
