Disciplinary Committee Hearings
SINGAPORE, 16 MARCH 2017: The Football Association of Singapore (FAS) Disciplinary Committee convened this evening to hear two cases.
Tampines Rovers FC player Madhu Mohana was charged for posting content of a derogatory nature against a match official on social media platforms after the Great Eastern Community Shield match between Tampines Rovers FC and Albirex Niigata FC (S), which was played on 26 February 2017.
Madhu Mohana admitted and pleaded guilty to the charge. He was given a suspended fine of $1,000. The fine is suspended until 31 December 2017. He was also directed to give an official letter of apology to the match official.
Balestier Khalsa FC player Raihan Rahman was charged for an act of misconduct for allegedly using a racial slur on an opponent during an off-the-field incident during the Great Eastern-Hyundai S.League match between Balestier Khalsa FC and Warriors FC, played on 28 February 2017.
The case was adjourned, and a new date will be confirmed in due course.
