EXPLAINER: FAS ‘C’ Certificate Coaching Course


The Football Association of Singapore (FAS) ‘C’ Certificate Coaching Course is a standalone course that equips participants with the knowledge and skills for coaching.  


This course is targeted at youths (18 years and above), volunteer-coaches and working adults who are committed to develop and coach young players aged between 10 to 13 years. 


Minimum Entry Requirements
Applicants must have attended the FAS Introductory Course, met the required competencies and have been recommended to take up the FAS ‘C’ Coaching Certificate. 


Course Summary
This course consists of a total of 80 hours, which comprises theory, practical and assessment components, as follows:


Principles of Play
Identifying Football Problems
Laws of the Game
Factors of Performance (Sports Science) 


Technical Drills – Running with the Ball, Dribbling, Passing and Control
Defending and Attacking Play – 1v1, 2v1 & 2v2
Goalkeeping – Basic Handling & Positioning
Small Sided Games – 5v5, 8v8 


Participants are required to bring their own writing materials when attending lessons as you may need it for individual/group discussions, presentations, writing reports, etc.

Upon completion of the course, participants who are graded with a “pass” will be issued with the FAS ‘C’ Coaching Certificate.
