FAS’ And S.League’s Reply To Media Query Regarding Post-retirement Careers For Footballers
“The employability and long-term prospects for our players after their footballing careers are important to us. Since 2014, we have established a scheme termed the ‚ÄúCareer Enrichment Scheme (CES)‚Äù for S.League players to help them assess diverse career options after they retire from football. Under this scheme, players who meet the eligibility criteria will be reimbursed up to 50% of the course fees of upgrading courses which they have enrolled for, and successfully completed. The courses need not be related to the sports or football vocations, but can also include courses which will enhance their employability ‚Äì for example, in industrial professions such as building and construction. The CES is only applicable to professional players who are in the S.League.”
