FAS conducts webinar series for new Coach Developers
SINGAPORE, 28 OCTOBER 2020 – The Football Association of Singapore (FAS) recently conducted a Webinar for New Coach Developers.
Held on 7 October 2020, the 90-minute Zoom session was helmed by FAS Head of Coach Education and Development (CED), Mohamed Zainudeen Hassan, as well as FAS-appointed coach developers Philippe Aw and Subramani Shunmugham.
A total of 24 new coach developers attended the webinar, which aimed to provide useful information to support and enhance their skills and competencies in devising training content and drills.
Other content such as our national playing philosophy, style and tactical rules, as well as core skills of running with the ball, striking the ball, first touch and 1v1 were shared at the session.
This webinar session will also be shared at the CoachSG Virtual Conference later this year, as well as to school teachers and coaches in the coming months ahead, to ensure inclusivity by reaching out to all levels of educators and coaches.
Upon the completion of the event, Zainudeen noted: “This webinar provided a great opportunity for the coach developers to reconnect with each other and also served as a platform for us to share useful information with them. Once restrictions are eased and practical sessions are allowed once more, we look forward to having a follow-up session where we will meet everyone in person.”
