FAS Investigating Altercation At NFL Match, Teams Suspended From League
SINGAPORE, 9 June 2014: The Football Association of Singapore (FAS) is aware of the altercation that took place at the end of the National Football League (NFL) Division Two match between Bishan Barx FC and Siglap CSC held on 7 June.
The FAS takes a serious view of the incident and are investigating the case.
Both teams have been suspended from the NFL with immediate effect until investigations are concluded.
FAS wishes to reiterate that misconduct and violence have no place on a football pitch.
We will not hesitate to take severe disciplinary actions, including expulsion from the NFL, against the errant parties involved in the incident.
