SINGAPORE, 18 October 2013: The Football Association of Singapore (FAS) is pleased to announce the 16-Woman squad that has been called up for an international friendly match against Malaysia. The match is scheduled for tomorrow, 19 October 2013, 8.00 pm at the Padang SUK, Shah Alam in Kuala Lumpur.

 

National Women’s Team Head Coach Mohamed Hisham Bin Roslan expressed the team’s excitement ahead of the friendly match, “The team recently embarked on a training tour to Bangkok which was beneficial to the development of this young team. For most of the players, it was their first time being a part of the national squad during the tour. There are five new players called up to this latest squad, and it would be a good opportunity for them to experience an international match, which will in turn develop them as players. This is part of our preparations to achieve our objective to qualify for the 2015 SEA Games that will be held in Singapore. The team will try their best to produce a good result and I am certain that all our players will benefit from this match experience against strong opponents.”

 

The team will depart for Kuala Lumpur tomorrow morning. We wish the team all the best for the match!
