FAS’ reply to Media Queries on Mahathir Azeman
The development of youth talent is at the heart of our long-term strategy of bringing Singapore football to the next level, and one of our key goals is to secure overseas playing or attachment opportunities for our players. We will continue to work with our partners, including schools, parents, sponsors and other member associations and clubs, to identify and send talented youth players and teams overseas.
“We are pleased with the development and progress of our youth players including Adam Swandi and Mahathir Bin Azeman, who are now playing for, or on training stints with, foreign teams. We are in constant communication with our partners, including the parents, schools and clubs, to monitor the progress of these players and we will continue to work closely with them to facilitate the ongoing development of our young players.
