FAS’ reply to Media Queries on Visa issues faced by Kelantan FA players
In following with Standard Operating Procedures, the Football Association of Singapore (FAS) sent an email to Kelantan FA early last week on match arrangements, which include asking them whether they require supporting documents for the visa applications of their foreign players. Despite late submissions of documents from Kelantan FA, we sent out the supporting letters on the very next day after receiving the documents.
This afternoon, as soon as we were informed by the Football Association of Malaysia (FAM) and Kelantan FA that they have encountered some issues with the visa applications for two of their foreign players, we began working closely with all relevant authorities to resolve the matter, and we have since secured the visa approvals for these players and are now working on getting the visas to the players so as to facilitate their availability for tomorrow’s match.
We have kept both the Kelantan FA and the Football Association of Malaysia updated on the situation.
