FAS’ Reply to Media Query on Security Measures

Share

The safety of our fans will always be of paramount importance to the Football Association of Singapore (FAS) and we already have, in consultation with the authorities and security agencies, various security measures in place at the stadium on matchdays. The measures include checks by security personnel s at the entrances of the stadium. We have also drawn up a list of prohibited items which include, but are not limited to, flag poles, whistles, sharp objects, chemicals, air horns, helmets, smoking, bottles, flares, glasses, musical instruments, pets, naked fires, laser pointers and masks.

As a forward-looking organisation, we review our security plans regularly. We will also continue to work closely with relevant authorities to see how we can further enhance our security measures in light of the recent unfortunate incidents overseas.
