FAS’ Reply To Media Query Regarding Electing A Female Candidate

“Pursuant to Article 35.1 of the FAS Constitution, a female candidate is required to be a member of the Council. If the Slate without the female candidate is elected into the Council, pursuant to Article 28.16 the female candidate contesting on an individual basis shall be deemed elected by acclamation.

‚ÄúA replacement from outside the Slate is only possible should a candidate fail the assessment ‚Äì  as referenced to in Articles 28.12 & 28.13.‚Äù
