FAS’ Reply to Media Query Regarding S.League 2016 Fixtures

‚ÄúThe S.League fixtures were drawn up in close consultation with all key stakeholders including the venue owners and our National Teams Department. Many factors were taken into consideration before the fixtures were confirmed. Some of these include major events affecting stadium usage, competition schedules including AFC matches, travelling schedules for matches in Brunei,  National Team preparations including the National Team Training Day, and deciding on an ideal TV viewership timing for ‚ÄòLive‚Äô matches. The intent for this season is to try to keep to last season‚Äôs format for consistency, and generally the matches are scheduled on Thursday and Friday nights.‚Äù
