FAS response to media query on possible rule changes for the SPL

Share

“The Football Association of Singapore (FAS) has noted the temporary modification to the Laws of the Game, as approved by the International Football Association Board (IFAB) and FIFA, to allow teams to use up to five substitutes for competitions scheduled to be completed in 2020. This option was last month subsequently extended to competitions scheduled to be completed by 31 July 2021. Any adoption of the modified regulations by FAS for the current Singapore Premier League (SPL) season when it resumes will have to be ratified by both our Referees and Competition Committees, along with consultations with our participating clubs before any final implementation.”
