FAS response to media query on small format competitions for local football
“While the COVID-19 pandemic had impacted the planned activities in 2020 for the football fraternity, the FAS recognises the need to have innovative programmes for our members, including the grassroots and amateur clubs who play a significant role in our ecosystem.
“Deriving from engaged conversations with these clubs that took place last year, the FAS, in 2021, will be rolling out modified small group activities and competitions, including 4 vs. 4 competitions to ensure we remain committed to our purpose for the fraternity. These planned programmes will strictly adhere to any prevailing safety measures and the necessary regulatory approvals will be sought prior to commencement as we continue to place our stakeholders’ health as the utmost priority.”
