FAS response to media query on start of 2021 Singapore Premier League season

Share

“Over the last two months or so, we could see a palpable sense of excitement amongst SPL fans who have been closely following the transfer news of key local and foreign signings for their favourite clubs. We had an exciting finale last season, and I am certain this year’s campaign will pick up where we left off, with a number of clubs looking to make serious title challenges to Albirex Niigata (S) FC’s crown. This season will also see our clubs take on some of Asia’s finest as Tampines Rovers FC make their debut in the 2021 Asian Football Confederation (AFC) Champions League (ACL) group stage while Lion City Sailors FC and Geylang International FC will play in the AFC Cup.

“Fans can also look forward to more interactive initiatives online as part of our engagement efforts, in collaboration with our title sponsor AIA Singapore.

“While we still won’t be able to see fans at the stadiums yet on match-days,  fans can still catch the action live through Singtel TV (Channel 111, 112 and 113), Starhub TV (Channel 201, 202 and 204) or via AIA SPL and 1Play Sports Facebook livestreams.”
