FAS’ response to query on safety protocols for FAS-organised matches
“The FAS organizes typically about 400 games in a year which include international friendlies and tournaments as well as regular competitions such as the Singapore Premier League, Singapore Cup, National Football League, Football Association Cup, Women’s Premier League, Women’s National League, and the Women’s Challenge Cup. For such games, the Competition Regulations state that the FAS must ensure medical staff are present. In this case, each match will have an ambulance with paramedics on standby as a standard procedure. The cost of having such medical preparation measures may cost up to S$1,300 per match.
“In the event of injuries, sports trainers/physiotherapists of the respective teams will need to assess the situation before escalating to the on-duty paramedics for further follow up medical attention.”
