FAS WOMEN’S CHALLENGE CUP 2017 OPEN FOR REGISTRATION
SINGAPORE, 26 AUGUST 2017: The Football Association of Singapore (FAS) today announced that registration for the FAS Women’s Challenge Cup 2017 is now open, and will close on 11 September 2017. Participation fees for this year’s FAS Women’s Challenge Cup have been waived.
The tournament will be held from October to end November, with matches to be played on weekends at 5.00pm and 7.30pm. Teams will be drawn into groups of four to six to play in a group league format, followed by a knock-out round.
Last year, 11 teams – including Balestier Khalsa FC and Home United FC who joined the tournament for the first time – participated in the annual knock-out competition. Warriors FC were crowned FAS Women’s Challenge Cup 2016 champions after defeating Woodlands Wellington FC 2-0 in the final.
Clubs wishing to participate in the FAS Women’s Challenge Cup 2017 must at least be an Associate Member of FAS. Interested clubs may download the registration form here and email the completed form to [email protected].
