FAS Women’s Premier League 2006 kicks off this weekend
The FAS Women’s Premier League 2006 season will kick off this Saturday, 1 July 2006.
Six participating teams Bishan Arsenal FC, Arion Women’s FC, Paya Lebar Punggol FC, FAS Young Women, Police FC and Sporting Westlake FC will battle for the spot of league champions in the competition, which will end in mid-September.
Paya Lebar Punggol came out tops in the 2005 league season, with Bishan Arsenal in second place.
One player to look out for would have to be striker Luo Jian Zhen, who plays for the Young Women. The 20-year old Chinese national was the top scorer of last year’s Women’s Premier League, as well as this year’s Women’s Challenge Cup held in March.
