First AFC ‘C’ Coaching Certificate course of 2015 Commences

SINGAPORE, 1 MARCH 2015: The first Asian Football Confederation (AFC) ‘C’ Coaching Course to be held in Singapore this year was officially declared open on Monday by Mr Benjamin Tan, Deputy Director, Development and Planning, Football Association of Singapore (FAS). The AFC ‘C’ Coaching Course is usually organised three times a year.

AFC instructor Mr S. Arasu is putting 26 coaches through their paces over a period of 13 days from 2-14 March 2015, ably assisted by Mr Rameshpal Singh. During this course, the instructors will share in-depth insights about various aspects of football coaching, including principles pf play, conducive playing areas for ideal training, developing play from defence to attack, effective coaching methodology and practical team building.

Among the participants of this course is former Young Lions player Aliff Shafaein Bin Safie’e. There is also a female participant, Ms Farah Fhillynna Binte Mohd Fairuz Shandh.

At the end of the 13 days, the coaches will have to undergo both practical and theoretical exams, the results of which will be known in two months.
