Lionesses set to welcome Pakistan in upcoming July friendly


This will be Head Coach Karim Bencherifa’s first international match at Jalan Besar Stadium

SINGAPORE, 12 JULY 2023 – The Singapore Women’s National Team will host Pakistan in an international ‘A’ friendly match during the upcoming FIFA Window in July.


The 131st-ranked Lionesses are set to take on the visitors, standing 26 places below on the FIFA rankings, on 18 July 2023 at 7.30pm at Jalan Besar Stadium. Notably, this marks the maiden meeting between the two teams. There will be a live broadcast of the match on 18 July on FAS’s official YouTube page.


Head Coach Karim Bencherifa shared that he is hopeful the team will be able to attain results against Pakistan in his first international match at Jalan Besar Stadium: “I am confident in seeing a display of passion and determination from our women’s team in this friendly match. I do believe we have the potential to fare well against Pakistan. The match will also be an opportunity for fresh faces to emerge. This will also be a part of our preparations for the upcoming Asian Games in September.”


Tickets will go on sale on today. They will be priced at S$10.00 for adults and S$6.00 for concession (both excluding booking fees), applicable for students aged 16 and below, and senior citizens aged 60 and above, with a valid concession card.


Sale of tickets will be available online from and as well as onsite at the North Gate from 4.30pm to 8.45pm on the match day. Fans are urged to buy their tickets early online to avoid the queues on match day.
