LIONSXII Travelling To Maldives For Pomis Cup
SINGAPORE, 20 JANUARY 2015: The Football Association of Singapore (FAS) is pleased to announce that the LionsXII will be travelling to the Maldives to participate in a friendly tournament, the People of Maldives Invitational Soccer Cup (POMIS Cup), from 21 to 30 January 2015.
Three other teams will be involved. They are Maziya S&RC (Maldives), New Radiant SC (Maldives), and PDRM FA (Malaysia). All four teams will play once against each other, with the top two teams then playing a final on 28 January to decide the winner of the competition.
“We are looking forward to a great experience at the POMIS Cup. We are in the final stages of our pre-season preparations now, and I can see the understanding between the players improving. It will be good to test ourselves against these three teams,” said Fandi Ahmad, Head Coach of the LionsXII.
