Share

SINGAPORE, 7 APRIL 2020 – The COVID-19 pandemic has caused massive disruption to the world of football not just in Singapore but in virtually every country around the world.

The Football Association of Singapore (FAS) has been following the fluid developments of the situation and implemented the necessary measures to ensure that the health and safety of all those in our football fraternity is safeguarded.

However, with the rapid escalation and global spread of the virus, the Singapore Government has announced that an elevated set of safe distancing measures will be put in place from Tuesday, 7 April 2020 until 4 May 2020 (inclusive) to curb local transmissions of the infection. The measures include the closure of all physical workplace premises except for those that provides essential services.

In light of this national directive, the FAS will commence tele-commuting arrangements for all its staff to work remotely from home during this period, effective 7 April 2020 until at least 4 May 2020. While the FAS office will remain closed during this period, our work will not be disrupted with the FAS staff remaining contactable via email for all work-related matters. This will ensure that any administrative and financial matters will be attended to promptly. For all enquiries you may get in touch with us via fas-live.tth.asia/contact-us/

While the FAS is hoping to return to normal operations on 5 May 2020, this will be subject to further guidance from the Singapore Government. However, let me reassure you that the FAS remains committed in fulfilling our duties to all our stakeholders.

We regret any inconvenience caused to our valued stakeholders and thank you for your understanding as we take the necessary and recommended measures to keep our staff healthy and safe.

Please continue to remain safe and take care of the health of yourselves, family members and staff in the meantime.

Yours sincerely,

Yazeen Buhari

General Secretary
