New Club Chairmen For Tampines Rovers FC And Geylang International FC

SINGAPORE, 24 NOVEMBER 2015: The 2015 Great Eastern-Yeo’s S.League has just come to a successful and exciting conclusion as the Championship went down to the wire for the third time in four seasons. The S.League would like to congratulate Brunei DPMM FC for winning their first S.League title.

 

The Football Association of Singapore (FAS) and S.League is pleased to announce the appointment of new Club Chairmen for Tampines Rovers Football Club and Geylang International Football Club.

 

Mr Teo Hock Seng was the Chairman of Tampines Rovers Football Club from 2000 to 2015, and served as Council Member of the Football Association of Singapore from 2005 to 2007. Mr Leong Kok Fann was the Chairman of Geylang International Football Club from 2012 to 2015, and served as a Council Member of the Football Association of Singapore from 2009 to 2013.

 

In addition to their outstanding leadership and management of their respective clubs, both Mr Teo and Mr Leong have made significant contributions to the development and progress of S.League and Singapore football. The football fraternity will certainly miss the presence and indomitable spirit of two of Singapore’s most influential and outstanding football personalities.

 

Mr Krishna Ramachandra, 44, has been appointed as the new Chairman of Tampines Rovers Football Club. A corporate finance lawyer by profession, he had previously served as the Club’s Vice Chairman and, in taking over, is keen to build on the rich heritage and success of the club. He intends to lead the Stags to greater heights through a focus on youth development and supporting national football. Krishna is the Managing Director of Duane Morris & Selvam LLC, a global international law firm with a network of over 750 lawyers in 26 offices worldwide.

 

Mr Ben Teng, 41, has been appointed as the new Chairman of Geylang International Football Club. He is the Chairman of Red Star Global and, in helming one of S.League’s pioneering clubs with a proud tradition in Singapore footballing history, he hopes to inspire the Eagles to soar and bring their glory days back. Red Star Global operates in Middle East and is in the business of providing engineering support services and the trading of building materials.

 

FAS and S.League would like to thank Mr Teo Hock Seng and Mr Leong Kok Fann for their invaluable contributions to the S.League and Singapore football, and wish the new Chairmen of Tampines Rovers Football Club and Geylang International Football Club success in their new appointments.
