New Zealand schools U18 Girls Team to visit Singapore for training camp
NEW ZEALAND SCHOOLS U18 GIRLS TEAM TO VISIT SINGAPORE FOR TRAINING CAMP
SINGAPORE, 21 SEPTEMBER 2017: The Football Association of Singapore today announced that the New Zealand Secondary School Girls Football Under-18 representative team will be in Singapore for a training camp from 27 September to 5 October 2017. As part of their training camp, they will be playing friendly matches against Warriors FC, Woodlands Wellington FC, Home United FC as well as the Women’s National Team.
The 18-strong team from New Zealand includes two players who were part of the New Zealand U17 Women’s National Team that competed in the FIFA U17 Women’s World Cup Jordan 2016.
General Manager of Grassroots and Women’s Football Julie Teo said: “We are happy to host the New Zealand Secondary School Girls Football Under-18 representative team in Singapore for their training camp. Them playing a total of four friendly matches against not just our National Team but also the clubs will give more of our women players the chance to face international opponents, which can only be positive for their development.”
