SINGAPORE, 22 AUGUST 2016: The Football Association of Singapore is pleased to announce that selection trials will again be held for next year’s Under-14 (U14) Girls’ National Team on 7 and 9 September 2016 (Wednesday and Friday) at the Serangoon Stadium, from 5-7pm on both days. These trials are to reach out to those who were unable to attend the first trials in June this year, and will only be open to Singapore citizens. Participants need only attend one day of the trials; successful triallists from the trials held in June need not attend again.

Girls must be born between 1 January 2003 and 31 December 2005, both dates inclusive, to be eligible for the trials. The final selection will represent the nation at the AFC U-14 Girls’ Regional Championship – ASEAN 2017 next June.

After the trials, the players selected will have to attend training sessions every Monday and Friday from 5-7pm at Serangoon Stadium. The U14s will be coached by Ms Yeong Sheau Shyan, who holds an AFC ‘A’ Certificate, and is one of the highest-qualified female coaches in Singapore.
