Selection Trials For Under-16 Women’s National Team To Be Held

SINGAPORE, 30 AUGUST 2017: The Football Association of Singapore today announced that the Under-16 Women’s National Team will be holding selection trials next week. Trials for outfield players will take place on 4, 6 and 8 September, while trials for goalkeepers will only be held on 8 September.

Coached by Ms Yeong Sheau Shyan, who holds an Asian Football Confederation (AFC) ‘A’ Coaching Diploma, the U16s will be preparing for the AFC U16 Women’s Championship 2019 Qualifiers to be held in 2018. Selected players will be required to attend training sessions at Serangoon Stadium on Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays from 5.00pm to 7.00pm.

The trials are open to Singaporean females born between 1 January 2003 and 31 December 2005 and will be conducted at Serangoon Stadium from 5.00pm to 6.30pm on all three days. Interested players are required to report by 4.30pm at Serangoon Stadium Centre Gallery for registration.
