The tournament is set to return to its original Under-19 format, which will see a total of ten countries participating.

The official draw was conducted yesterday afternoon in Jakarta, Indonesia, which saw 10 teams drawn into two groups of three and one group of four. Placed in Group B, Singapore will travel to Palembang next month to begin their quest for a place in the finals.

Hosts Indonesia will meet Timor Leste, Cambodia and Laos in Group A, while Group C will feature Thailand, Myanmar and Philippines. Defending champions Australia will not be participating in this year’s edition of the tournament.

Singapore last participated in the tournament in 2022. The team’s notable achievement thus far was securing a commendable fourth place finish in their maiden appearance in 2014.
