Share

SINGAPORE, 28 JANUARY 2013: The Football Association of Singapore (FAS) has named a 23-man final squad for the upcoming Asian Cup 2015 qualifying match against Jordan. Comprising a squad with a blend of experience and youth, the Lions kick off their Asian Cup campaign against Jordan in Amman on 6 February. Prior to that, they will play a friendly match against Bahrain on 1 February.

Commenting on his squad, Lions interim coach V Sundramoorthy said, “We have several young players who may be playing in the Asian Cup qualifiers for the first time, but I believe they have shown their potential and have also matured over the past months. I look forward to the senior players, including those who were part of the AFF Suzuki Cup winning team, to play a key role in guiding the younger ones during the competition. I am confident that the players will give their all for the Asian Cup qualifiers.”

The team will depart for Bahrain on Tuesday, 29 January via EK 355 scheduled for 9.35pm at Terminal 1, Changi Airport.
