Singapore Nominates S. Subramani to Attend AFC National Coaches Conference for Olympic Coaches
SINGAPORE, 6 March 2018: Young Lions and Under-22 National Team Assistant Coach S. Subramani has been nominated by the Football Association of Singapore (FAS) to attend the inaugural Asian Football Confederation (AFC) National Coaches Conference for Olympic Coaches 2018 in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia from 6-8 March 2018.
Alongside fellow former National Team player Nazri Nasir, S. Subramani assists Fandi Ahmad in preparing the Under-22 National Team for the 2018 Asian Games and 2019 Southeast Asian Games. They also will be taking the reins of the Young Lions in Singapore’s domestic professional league this season.
Aimed at building towards Tokyo 2020, the Conference will not only analyse performances at the 2018 AFC U-23 Championship, but also look ahead to Asia hosting the 2020 Olympics and include discussions on player development at this youth level.
Coach Subramani will be sharing what he learnt at the conference with the other youth team coaches in bid to keep all up-to-date with the latest trends in coaching modern football. The FAS hopes to be able to implement some of the best practices shared at the conference in Singapore as part of its push towards continued coaching education.
