Singapore To Play AFF Suzuki Cup Matches At National Stadium
SINGAPORE, 30 OCTOBER 2014: The Football Association of Singapore (FAS) and Sports Hub Pte Ltd are pleased to announce that the Singapore National Team will be playing its ASEAN Football Federation (AFF) Suzuki Cup Group Stage matches at the new National Stadium. The other three Group B matches not involving Singapore will be played at the Jalan Besar Stadium.
“We are grateful to the ASEAN Football Federation (AFF) for their approval to host the Suzuki Cup in Singapore, and to the Singapore Sports Hub for doing their best in ensuring optimal playing conditions for our Group Stage matches. All stakeholders have made extensive efforts to for this to happen, and we are looking forward to playing in front of 55,000 fans at our National Stadium and bringing back the Kallang Roar,” said Mr Zainudin Nordin, President, FAS.

Singapore will begin its defence of the AFF Suzuki Cup on 23 November 2014 against Thailand, followed by matches against Myanmar and Malaysia on 26 and 29 November 2014 respectively. Ticketing details will be announced at a later time.
