SINGAPORE, 20 MARCH 2018: The Football Association of Singapore (FAS) today announced that the Singapore Under-15 and Under-17 National Teams will be participating in the Jockey Club International Youth Invitational Football Tournament 2018 held from 23 to 25 March 2018.

 

Teams from Chinese Taipei, India, Malaysia, Myanmar and hosts Hong Kong will be participating in the tournament as well.

 

U15 National Team Head Coach Syed Azmir said: “This tournament, being the boys’ first international game and my first official assignment, will be a test for both the team and myself. I hope that they will put to use what we have prepared in the last three months but more importantly, I expect them to have a winning mentality and to respect the opponents by playing their hearts out on the field.”

 

Fadzuhasny Juraimi, Head Coach of the U17 National Team, said: “As the first tournament of the year for the team, the players will definitely feel pressured to perform. The three other teams will be strong but this is a good test for the boys to show what they have been practising in training. I have faith in my boys that they will do their best for all the games.”
