SINGAPORE, 19 FEBRUARY 2024 – The Lions will have a new boss and a new ticketing partner when they host China in their next FIFA World Cup 2026 and AFC Asian Cup Saudi Arabia 2027™ Round 2 qualifier on 21 March 2024.

Tsutomu Ogura, the new Singapore National Team Head Coach, will lead the Singapore team out at the National Stadium for the first time in a competitive fixture in a crucial match for the Lions’ campaign.

Fans will be able to purchase tickets at 40 percent off – S$15 (Adult) and S$6 (Concession) – if they register on the Ticketek platform and get themselves on the pre-sale waitlist that opens on 24 February at 12:00pm.

Regular adult and concession tickets are priced at S$25 and $10 respectively.

The Lions have two losses in two Group C fixtures – against Thailand and South Korea, the other two teams in the group – so far and are looking to get their qualifying campaign back on track at the National Stadium before facing China again in the return fixture on 26 Mar.

“These two matches against China are very important for us. They are not easy but with your support, especially in our home in our first match together, I am confident that you – Singaporeans and fans – will get behind us to make a difference,” said the 57-year-old.

“Your encouragement and voice will give us additional energy on the pitch and we will give everything to make you proud. I look forward to seeing you at our home next month.”

The last time Singapore beat China – who are currently ranked 79th in the FIFA World Rankings – in a competitive match was at the 1983 Merlion Cup, the Lions running out 1-0 winners in the semi-final, before falling 4-2 to Australia in the final.

Ticket sale process

20,000 seats will be made available in the first phase of ticket sales, with more seats being progressively opened as required in the later stages.

Fans can register for a spot on the pre-sale waitlist on the Ticketek platform. Waitlist registration ends on Friday, 23 Feb at 11.59pm.

An individualised link will be sent to fans on the waitlist to access the Ticketek platform for the Pre-sale period that runs from 12:00pm on Saturday 24 Feb to 11:59pm on Sunday, 25 Feb.

During the Pre-sale period, fans can enjoy a further discount if they purchase a Family Bundle – two adults and two concession tickets – priced at S$38.

Match tickets can be purchased onsite at the Singapore Sports Hub Box Office located at Kallang Wave Mall, on match day from 3:00 pm until 9:45 pm, but this is strictly subject to availability.

Fans are highly encouraged to purchase their tickets early and via the online sales channel to avoid queues – and possible disappointment – on match day.
