STAGS CLAIM SECOND SPOT IN 2017 GREAT EASTERN-HYUNDAI S.LEAGUE

SINGAPORE, 18 NOVEMBER 2017: Tampines Rovers FC finished the 2017 Great Eastern-Hyundai S.League season in the first runners-up spot despite a 0-0 draw with the Protectors in the final match of the season tonight.

The Stags received their medals and a cash prize of $125,000 from Football Association of Singapore President Mr Lim Kia Tong at Our Tampines Hub after the final whistle. Mr Lim also presented second runners-up Home United FC with their medals and a cash prize of $60,000.

Albirex Niigata FC (S) successfully defended their title and were officially crowned 2017 Great Eastern-Hyundai S.League champions yesterday after their match against Geylang International FC at Jalan Besar Stadium which ended 2-7 to Albirex.
