Q&A

When I sign my child up for the trials, what happens next?

When registering for an event / trials, we receive your request and we will after the end of the registration time ends, send out information on the venue, time table and when to register at the venue and what documentation to show when registering. (for registration purposes, always bring a copy of passport and your Childs student pass).

Information will be shared from the email: [email protected]

Information will also be shared on our FAS website, for boys on the BOYS page and girls on the GIRLS page – under Talent ID.

What happens at the trials?

You will arrive at the venue with your child, where you will do the registration, afterwards you are welcome to observe the trial from the stands. (only allowed to observe from the stands)

Please remember to bring, own clothes / equipment for training (including shin pads, GK gloves if goalkeeper and a water bottle)

At the trial, your child will be doing a technical warm up and afterwards we will facilitate small sided games, so we are able to evaluate the potential of each player attending the trials.

After the trials, what is next?

After the trials have been concluded, the Talent ID department creates an overview of the players that attended the trials and makes a decision on which players, that makes it to the next stage of trials.

When the overview is created, we will communicate through email: [email protected] and/or through the boys/girls section under Talent ID.

The players chosen for next stage, will appear on a list, to be invited back.

Th players who are not invited back for the next stages, will not appear on the list, but are welcome to register for our next event/trials later in the year or next year.

As information for those who have not been selected on this occasion, we would suggest that you train on a regular basis with your club/school and keep working on improving your game as undoubtedly some players who were not selected on this occasion will develop later and may well make it into the Development Centers and Youth National Teams in the future

What is the goal of doing trials?

We are doing the trials to facilitate a platform for all players in Singapore to have a chance to show their potential in front of our coaches and Talent ID staff.

Our end goal is to identify the players with potential to be a part of our youth national training groups, teams and development centres.

Can I change my registered day / time slot, for my child?

We are not able to facilitate a change in the day that you have registered your child for.

Can I bring my child for the trials, if he/she is not registered and invited?

No, only kids that have been registered online and have received an invite through the registered email can come for the trials.

Can I register more than one child?

If you wish to register more than one children, you need to sign in with a different mail.

What happens if my child is not selected for the trials?

We would suggest that your child train on a regular basis with her/his club/school/academy and keep working on improving his/her game as undoubtedly some players who were not selected on this occasion will develop later and may well make it into the Development Centers and Youth National Teams in the future.

Who can register for the trials?

Singaporeans, kids born in Singapore and kids who are permanent residents.

What happens if my child miss his/her timeslot at the trials?

Then you are welcome to register for the next round of trials, we are not able to facilitate your child coming at a different time/day.
