The Lions face Mauritius on 7 September, Fiji on 11 September and Mongolia on 12 October, before traveling to Phnom Penh to take on Cambodia on 16 October.
Part of the team’s preparations for the 2018 ASEAN Football Federation (AFF) Suzuki Cup, the matches will be Fandi Ahmad’s first since his appointment as the Head Coach for the Lions’ Suzuki Cup campaign.
He will be assisted by assistant coaches S. Subramani and Robin Chitrakar, as well as goalkeeper coach Chua Lye Heng. Former Singapore International Noh Alam Shah also joins the backroom setup as Team Mentor.
Noh Alam Shah, who holds the distinction of being the overall top goalscorer in the AFF Championship with 17 goals, said: “Being involved in the National Team set-up has been a fulfilling experience for me. It is an opportunity for me to give back to the nation in another capacity and I am excited about this.
“The National Team will first come together in September to prepare for the AFF Suzuki Cup, and I have faith that the players will be giving their all for the campaign. I know first-hand the important role that fans play as our 12th man, so I urge our fans to join us in our journey towards the championship, starting with our first friendly against Mauritius on 7 September.”
