Under-19 Women’s National Team to Hold Selection Trials Next Week

SINGAPORE, 8 JUNE 2018: Selection trials for the Under-19 Women’s National Team will be held next week at Serangoon Stadium.

 

Taking place on 11, 13 and 18 June from 5.00pm to 6.30pm, the trials are open to Singaporean females born between 1 January 2000 and 31 December 2004. Interested players are required to report at the Serangoon Stadium Centre Grandstand by 4.30pm for registration.

 

Former Women’s National Team player Ms Melisa Ye – who holds the Football Federation Australia ‘C’ Coaching License and graduated with a Bachelor of Coaching Science from the University of Canberra – will be leading the U19s as they prepare for the Asian Football Confederation U19 Women’s Championship 2019 Qualifiers to be held in October this year. Singapore has been drawn in Group B alongside hosts Thailand, India, Pakistan and Nepal.

 

Selected players will be required to attend training sessions on Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays at Serangoon Stadium from 7.00pm to 9.00pm, as well as on Saturdays from 9.30am to 11.00am at Hong Kah Secondary School.
