Under-21 National Team To Play Two Friendlies Against China
SINGAPORE, 29 SEPTEMBER 2016: The Football Association of Singapore (FAS) is pleased to announce that the Under-21 National Team will be travelling to Hohhot and Qujing, China to play two friendly matches against China’s Under-22 National Team on 4 October and 8 October 2016 respectively.
The 23-strong squad with an average age of 19.65 will be led by Head Coach, National Youth Teams Richard Tardy.
“China is one of the strongest teams in Asia, so we are very happy to be able to play these matches against them as part of our long-term preparations for next year’s SEA Games in Malaysia. With the SEA Games less than a year away, these friendlies will be a good test, because we saw in our recent match against Bahrain that there are still areas where we can do more. I am grateful to the FAS management for arranging these top-class friendlies for the team,” said Coach Tardy.
