Warriors crowned Women’s Premier League 2019 champions

SINGAPORE, 24 JUNE 2019 – A triumphant Warriors FC side hoisted the Football Association of Singapore (FAS) Women’s Premier League 2019 trophy aloft on Sunday night at the Jurong East Stadium, having swept to the title in style.
The defending champions sealed a fourth consecutive title earlier this April and eventually topped the five-team league by winning all eight matches. Mariam El-Masri won the Golden Boot for a second straight season, bagging 22 of their 52 goals while their miserly defence was breached only thrice.

FAS Deputy President, Mr Bernard Tan, presented Warriors captain Izyani Noorghani with the trophy, while Singapore National Team coach Tatsuma Yoshida was also on hand to give out the medals.

Prizes were also presented to runners-up Home United and third-placed Simei United, who finished 11 and 14 points behind Warriors respectively. The presentation ceremony took place during half-time of the Singapore Premier League match between Warriors FC and Geylang International.
