Women’s Under-16 national team departs for training camp
SINGAPORE, 15 JUNE 2022 – The Women’s Under-16 national team departed earlier today for an overseas training camp in Chonburi, Thailand.
The camp, held over 10 days, will allow the youth internationals to return to match action since the coronavirus pandemic. The team was initially preparing for the AFF Under-15 Women’s Championship slated for next month, but the tournament has been postponed.
Nonetheless, the 23-strong squad, who are led by Head Coach Yeong Sheau Shyan, will test themselves in three practice matches.
